While they have great people on the front lines, the management is absolutely terrible.
Went here with a voucher ($30) on a Friday night. While the voucher said that this was for any night (no mention of an extra cost) they charged me an extra $15.
Their reason for the extra charge was because they had made a mistake on the 2013 voucher and was charging me (the customer) the tax at the regular value ($57) + a $5 charge because it was a Friday (yet no mention of the "Friday night" charge on their website nor on their voucher).
Had the voucher explained this (extra Friday night charge and taxes were on the original amount) i would have been fine. However no mention of this whatsoever and they even admitted THEY screwed up with LivingSocial....
I guess the owners thought that it would be a good idea to just push the costs onto the customers... ??
Secondly, i called 4 times to get a proper explanation of the taxes and why they thought this was the right thing to do from the customers POV and asked to speak to the manager every time. It wasn't until the 4th time that they said they were in Sir Lanka...
I eventually got through to the Owner of Bathurst Bowlerama and he is one of the rudest people i have ever encountered... He has absolutely no notion of the concept of "friendly customer service".
Over the phone he YELLED at me, TALKED OVER me when i was trying to explain why i had the concerns that i did, infered that i was stupid because I was reading the vocher correctly and HE was reading the 2012 voucher and then HUNG UP on me.
Terrible way to treat your customers and try to bring new blood into a place that's decrepit and a dingy hole!
Much better experience at Danforth Bowl and the Ballroom downtown. Yes, a bit more pricey, but well worth not having to go through the experience that is Bathurst Bowlerama.
TERRIBLE customer service!!!
p.s. This is my first customer review of anything...I normally don't complain or do anything of the sort, but seriously, I was just so shocked and appalled at the way I was treated.
